The Essential!
The sand from the Po River is formed from the erosion of the riverbeds. Its most important characteristic is that it is silica-based, thus preventing the growth of mold and fungi. It improves water drainage, preventing stagnation that causes diseases and root rot.
It makes the soil softer. Mixing sand with perlite within the soil allows for the creation of a healthy microclimate for the roots for the development and growth of the plant.
